South March Highlands
The South March Highlands is a unique area in Ottawa. It features outcroppings of the Canadian Shield as well as numerous wetland areas.

The South March Highlands is also bordered by dense urban development. It is currently used for mountain biking, hiking, trail running, dog walking, and orienteering in the summer and for X-C skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.

The South March Highlands is bounded by Huntmar Road, Old Carp Road, the 2nd line easement and the railway. There are 2 main access points currently used. One is at the intersection of Klondike Road and 2nd line; the other is at the railway over pass on Huntmar Road. The trails are also accessible via the 2nd line easement from Goulborne Forced Road. The trail system in the South March Highlands has natural links to the gravel recreational pathways in North Kanata.
